We had a hell of journey getting to Papar - we didnt know where the bus station was and ended up walking about a mile or more with our bags through KK at midday - it was well into the 30s so we were pretty hot when we got to the bus stop.

The bus took about an hour to get to papar - no air con. When we arrive hector the hotel manager dude picked us up and took us to our room.

we were in a sort of residential area near the beach, kinda weird with lots of blocks of flats some of which were for backpackers - our room was ok - there was a swimming pool in the complex, however they wouldnt let me swim in my board shorts! which sucked. The beach was nice, white sandy thing all to our selves, but at night there was nothing to do - one place to eat and that was it - so we had a couple of very sober days. before heading back to KK.
