Phew what a journey....

We were on the east coast of malaysia a couple of days ago in a plce called cherating. We left after only one night due to our crummy overpriced accomodation with the worst bathroom ever.

We travelled to a beautiful island called Kapas which once again suffered from the same accomodation problems plus food and drink was every expensive, we decided to bail after a few hours of arriving and got a local bus up to terrenganu.

We were pretty tired after spending all day travelling from cherating, but all hotels were full - plus the city was pretty grim so we ended up getting on another bus at about 8pm to go up the coast to Kota Baru.

We arrived late at night at Kota Baru and decided we didnt want to spend too long in another dirty malaysian town. The next day we were going to go to the perhrentian islands but after our accomodation problems so far up the coast we decided thailand would be a better bet.

So, we spent the whole of the next day travelling to Phuket in thailand and after about 14hrs of travel and several buses we arrived in Phuket Town at about 1am.

However we wanted to stay in Patpong where we stayed last year, so we got another taxi to patpong arriving here around 2am last night.

The hostel we wanted to stay at was closed and after calling them, full so we stayed at a random guesthouse, opposite. Our current room is actually above a gay bar and is run by the same bar - but it is good value, we have cable, air-con and courtesy of the wireless hotspot accross the road, internet connection in the room.

we have spent the day at the beach chillin and tonight we are going to drink lots of cheap beer - hurrah!

p.s. My camera died in the tioman islands so i wont be posting any new pics till i get a new camera
