October 2006
We arrived in Nha Trang after a pretty hefty bus journey, an overnighter for 12hrs.
We got there in the morning and were immediatly impressed with how much the place has changed since we were last there (2003). The big concrete eye sore infront of the beach has been turned into manicured gardens and since we were staying in the backpacker area there were loads of bars and restaurants to check out.
We spent 5 days chillin in Nha Trang, mostly hanging out on the beach (we never actually went into the sea).
We did go on a boat trip on our last day which was pretty lame, we didnt realise it was a booze cruise thing rather than an island tour as it was advertised. So at 9am we are on this tiny boat with 50 other people and everyone starts drinking beer and singing! it was hell. THe day continued on in this way for most of the day turning it into the longest day either of us has ever experienced - not our thing.
We left the next day for Dalat.
