weve been in Phi Phi for about 5 days or so, we have a plce with a pool - not bad for 7.50 quid a night - but the weather hasnt been great here - weve only had a couple of afternoons
of sun - we have also had our first bucket which left us both completly smashed.

on a more serious note the tsunamis destruction is more apparent here than in phuket - there is still a large amount of rubble in certain areas and lots of the palm trees are missing the top bits - i went on a walk up to a view point to overlook the beaches and saw a few graves and stuff which is sad.

Well, since leaving Phuket, went to Phi Phi. It was ok. The beach wasnt great and the weatehr also wasnt too great. Tried to chill on the beach but it was really windy and got sandblasted - which hurt. The damage from the tsunami was still quite apparent. Lots of rubble and half the beach was destroyed - it was quite built up last time I was there. Anyway, had a good time despite everything. Lots of bars and the food was always good. Also, went on another snorkelling trip - not as good as the ones in Malaysia as the water isnt as clear. But saw a couple of dolphins and a turtle. Couldnt go to &Quot;the Beach&Quot; beach as it was too choppy.

A grave for a young Tsunami victim
From the plaque the boy that lies here was less than a year old - i was moved when i saw this.
A cat
I think this is the same siamese cat i saw as a kitten when i was here 4yrs ago - probably no one cares, but i thought i would include this for all you cat lovers out there!

Tsunami devastation
Its stil not cleared up in some places, some of the palm trees have no tops. also, the hospital (that my friend Satpal managed to throw a coconut through the wall - 4 years ago) is no longer there either.
very blue water
The Rolling Stoned

Our first bucket
many were to follow - followed by some pretty major hangovers!
