after phi phi we went to Krabi and ended up at a beach called Ao Nang which was OK but we had a bit of hassel when we arrive. When we arrived at the port we booked and paid for (stupidly) some accomodation but when we arrived it turned out the agents lied to us about the room we were going to get - the hotel wouldnt refund us our money and after about 1hr of arguements and getting nowhere we had to go all the way back to the port (40 mins away) to get a refund from the agents and then go back to the beach to our new - much cheaper and much better accomodation.
This kinda soured us on the whole Ao Nang experience, but we managed to put it behind us and tried to enjoy the area, although the beach as non-existent so we ended up spending a couiple of days at a pool in this spa which was very nice and relaxing and not too expensive - we also went on an island hopping tour, where we saw some beautiful scenery and beaches.
i think we spent about 4 days there, then we left and had the most painful journey so far to koh samui. it took about 14 hours to eventually get to samui after so many pointless stops and frustrations from our idiotic driver/tour company manager - this should have been one of the shortest journeys we have made so far.
