...anyway, after a week of really chilling out - we decided we needed a change and have moved to another beach about 60kms south called Palolum. It was not a fun journey - it took ages on this local bus that went round all these little villages but once again lorraine and i managed to get seats (near the back - its important so you dont have to relenquish your seats for the old people) so it wasnt too bad.

Pallolum is .... difficult to spell... but also very beautiful, in ways more so than benaulim - but it is more crowded...its a cove with rocks either side and white sandy beaches and palm trees and loads of beach huts and so on.

when we first arrived it took us a while to find somewhere, but we did it in shifts leaving our bags in a restaurant while one of us went off to look at places - we pretty much looked at eveyrthing, there are these temporary beach huts put up for the season on stilts which looked interesting and very unstable - shared bathrooms so definate no nos - we were going to treat ourselves willing to spend up to 5 pounds on a place , but after looking around we decided on a 2 pound 50p place which is right on the beach and is clean and a permanent building rather than a temporary shack.

fortunatly the food situation here is much more agreeable with lots of proper wood burning pizza ovens advertised it is making a very welcome change to curry. there is also some nightlife to be spoken of, not a great deal, but some and were hoping to find a bar that will allow us to catch up on todays premiership games - there is one on the beach that has star sports (cable sports channel) so we might get lucky.

well thats it for now...soon we will have to go to proper india which apparently scares people who start out in Goa - but i guess it will scare us anywya where ever we start out from.

...at the third beach now where they shot some of the bourne Supremecy - its ok but its supposed to be a party beach but there is still no night life. So the nights normally consist of dinner and then a few beers and bad by midnight.

Indian people seem quite friendly - although the hawkers on the beach are damn annoying - they are os persisitant and wont take no for an answer. I tend to ignore them and they go away. Also met some strange Indian man who has a knack for knowing peoples postcodes and he insisted that me and gav go to his house for proper Indian food but managed to get out of that one.

Hopefully Ill be able to send a more interestng email when i get roud to doing some stuff.
