We were in delhi for a couple of days, in which time lorraine was gawped at non-stop by indian men while we were walking on the street - i had to keep giving evils to the gawpers as it was making us both very uncomfortable - then while we were at pizza hut, lorraines handbag was swiped - her bag was on the seat next to her and this bloke came in and distracted us while these women mingled about our table, then 10 mins after they left we noticed her bag was missing! we got the police involved and had to go to the station - the pizza hut manager was really helpful, he came to the station (and paid for the taxi) and translated for us and walked us back - he even offered to send a pizza to our hotel (we hadnt even had our starter at this point) - we declined kinda lost our appetites.

Thankfully our passports or tickets were not in that bag, however lorraine lost her mobile phone AND her ipod! along with some currency and other bits and bobs (and a credit card) - we are presently dealing with our insurance people putting in a claim.

well after that we were well happy to be leaving india - goa was great - but not keen on proper india. i think if we were to go back - a tour like my parents did would be better - as dealing with the locals is painful as most are enterprising

Left India last Friday. It was horrible - so glad to be out of that s*** country. Delhi was a hole and so was Bangalore - all rickshaw drivers need to be shot. Goa was good but the rest was appalling. the men were horrible and the place was a dump. Will never go back. Also to make my last evening more memerable I had my bag snatched. It had my Ipod and phone in and leaving prezzie from work (sorry guys from work) and also some bank cards and a little bit of cash, and my book - which Ill never get to finish now! So had to dash off to the police staiton and get a police report before dashing off for my flight - not a fun evening.
