Found a spot for the van near the beach in Luz, a resort town just near Lagos. Very much a pommy resort with english pubs, english newspapers and magazines in the shops and you could hear that horrible accent everywhere again. I hated the sound of it after being away from it for so long!
Sun 22 July
Spent most of the next day on the beach, beautiful beach with nice white sand, fairly warm, flat water and the sun was burning down on us. It was funny watching all the pommy families, all with slathers of sunscreen on, umbrellas, t-shirts, hats, big eskys of food and drinks, and hearing them panicing about the tide coming in and taking their kids away....in the middle of the day! All the blokes just wanted to go to the pub. They're just not beach people at all. Very funny.
After having a nice relaxing day at the beach went jumped back in the van and headed along the Algarve.
