August 2007
Thurs 30 August
We left Bruges after a bit of a wander around in the morning and head north towards the coast. Who would have thought that Belgium would have beaches, but they did! The water was a weird green colour, it was a grey day and not really all that warm, but there were people on the beach sunbaking and in the water too. We were almost going to make ourselves get in, just so we could say we went to a beach one more time but chickened out in the end. The weird thing was all the tiny huts in rows on the beach, they were barely the size of a cupboard. Odd.
There were some good waffle stands there though, so that was good!
From the beach it was on towards Dunquerke to catch the ferry.
