Bruges
Belgium
August 2007
Wed 29 Aug
I think Bruges was a good choice for pretty much our last night away. The city was really pretty with canals and big old bridges and funny shaped buildings with those crazy step-roofs. The main square was pretty typical of the other Belgian cities, the town hall, the church, the fountain/statue in the middle, the horses and carts ferrying people around. But it was a nice day and it was nice to sit in the square and eat frites with curry tomato sauce, what a taste sensation!
One of the prettiest places we went, and not the boring Belgium you hear about.
