Sun 26 Aug
Arrived in Brussels in the afternoon, whoa it's a big place! And driving around the city was crazy. They have these white checked markings on the roads at busy intersections, we called them &Quot;chaos lines&Quot;, and no one seemed to know what to do at them, who gives way to who? It was scary!
Anyway, we drove towards the massive Basilica up on the hill at one end of the city and had a look around there. Pretty impressive and not a bad view from there either.
Found a carpark in the centre of town and went for a walk around the Grand Place which was amazing, found the Mannekin Pis down a side street, bought lots of chocolates from one of the many many chocolatiers, so good!
You can tell Brussels is an important city, I saw the UN's building and the EU headquarters building.
