Crossed over into Belgium and drove through some funny looking little places to Leuven, the old capital of the Flanders region. It was a good start to the Belgium discovery, with this huge old cathedral, I think I read it is the largest medievel building in europe or something along those lines. There were a lot of other old medievel buildings amongst the little streets and the squares. It was a nice place to wander around and get a bit lost in.
The strangest thing was that there was a country and western festival going on with a stage set up and people dressed up in all the gear were having a good old shindig. I hadn't realised the Belgians were into that kind of music but there you go!
