Drove a little further along the beautiful coast, saw some very pretty scenery along the way - big red rocks, beautiful sparkling blue watre and tiny little beaches hidden away in coves.
Time for the beach, so we parked at the beach in the edge of Cannes and had a swim there with all the oldies because it was early in the morning and we'd noticed that the oldies go to the beach early in the morning before the rowdy young ones get there. The water was nice and again you could spot lots of cruisers and big yachts in the water.
Went into town and had a look around. Cannes was actually really nice, perfect for the Film Festival - lots of nice hotels, really nice delis and fresh seafood being sold in the markets, all the boutique shops and fancy cars everywhere. The promenade along the water is great for strolling along - lots of stalls selling icecream and crepes and things and you can check out the fancy boats and see the cinemas where the film festival shows flicks. Noticed lots of rich people around town - the uniform is white - white flowing shirt and 3/4 length pants with designer sunglasses. I did see one special woman though who just summed up the place!
