Krakow was wicked, my favourite place we went to. The city hardly got touched in the war so the buildings are amazing. There's huge open squares, a massive crazy castle on the hill by the river, heaps of churches and synagogues, and big old walls that partly surround the old town. In the old town there were heaps of pubs, lots of them down little dark alleyways or down staircases to the basement.
Our first night out was in the old Jewish quarter. We went to a couple of bars there, one of which was called Propaganda. It had red lighting inside and was crammed with different decorations - on the walls, ceiling, bar, everywhere - there were old posters, bicycles, signs, old radios, army uniforms, all kinds of cool old stuff. We tried a Mad Dog, which is a shot of vodka with raspberry and tabasco. Spicy!
Our second night we tried a couple of bars in the old town, and a few different shots of flavoured vodkas. I highly recommend honey vodka, so good I bought a bottle of it.
The late night food is good too, I had a kebab which was so tasty, and they also have these weird long pizzas which are good too, served through a sliding window on the street. And everything was so cheap which was the best!
