Picked up a hire car from Krakow and drove to Auschwitz.
It was really interesting to take a walk around the old camps and the buildings and read the stories about the horrible things that went on there. The camps were absolutely huge, it's awful how many people were killed there. A lot of the buildings were still in tact, some others had been re-built but you could really see what went on.
A bit depressing but eye-awakening at the same time.
After Auschwitz we drove on towards the Slovak border, staying overnight in a little village not far away.
